Frequently Asked Questions
What material are Dryd Sandfree beach towels made from?
Dryd’s Sand free beach towel are made from a 100% recycled & antimicrobial waffle-weave 85/15 Polyester blend fabric consisting of polyester/polyamide to give it a soft, yet very strong and wear resistant fabric.
Why recycled material in our beach towels?
Each year over 8 million tons of plastic ending up in our world’s oceans, with even more ending up in landfill, we knew we needed to do something meaningful.
And while recycling is great, it’s only one part of the equation. Ultimately, those recycled materials need new products to go into, or they risk ending back up in landfills, or worse, oceans.
That’s where we’re here to help! Each Dryd Australia beach towel is made with the equivalent of over 20 plastic bottles.
Our recycled fabric also has significant environmental advantages over virgin polyester. Whilst being the same versatile and high-performance fibre, it uses 90% less water, 70% less energy, and releases 75% less carbon than virgin fibre production.
We are trying to clean our planet, one towel at a time.
