Each year over 8 million tons of plastic ends up in the world’s oceans, with even more ending up in landfill. We knew we needed to do something meaningful. While recycling is great, it’s only one part of the equation. Ultimately, those recycled materials need new products to go into, or they risk ending back in landfill, or worse, oceans. That’s where we’re here to help!
Each Dryd™️ Australia beach towel is made with the equivalent of over 20 plastic bottles. Our recycled fabric also has significant environmental advantages over virgin polyester. Whilst being the same versatile and high-performance fibre, it uses 90% less water, 70% less energy, and releases 75% less carbon than virgin fibre production. We are trying to clean our planet one towel at a time.
Importantly, using recycled materials doesn’t impact the quality or feel of our towels. They’re as good or better than virgin materials – our products feel good, and you’ll feel good using them.
All Dryd’s beach towels are also made with a trademarked antimicrobial treatment. This helps fight bacterial and fungal growth, and prevents smells and discolouration to ensure our products last longer.
